If you are looking for an official letter of verification of your ANCC certification for legal, educational, work-related, or other purposes, we can help!  Please note, verifications are not automatic; you must request each verification that you require.

Multiple Certification Holders
Please note that multiple certifications for an individual cannot be combined into a single letter. You will need to purchase separate verifications for each certification.

Newly Certified Nurses
Your first verification of certification is free when you are initially certified and every time you renew your certification. Verifications are not sent automatically to state boards of nursing or employers - you must order each one. You may use the on-line system to request your free verification, or you may mail your request using this form.

Order Verifications
Before beginning the process of ordering an online verification, make sure you have:

• Certification Number or Social Security Number for the certified nurse
• Visa or MasterCard only

Instant Print Function Instructions
If you represent an institution, you may choose to print the verification online.

There are 4 technical requirements that allow the instant print function to work.

1. You must have Internet Explorer version 7.0 or higher.
2. You must turn off your pop up blockers (before entering the website).
3. You must be able to view PDF documents through Adobe Reader (preferably version 8 or higher).
4. You must print from a PC. Our letters will not print on a MAC computer.

Your computer must meet ALL of these requirements or you will be unable to use the instant print function. If you try to use it and find you cannot use the instant print function, please DO NOT CLICK ON THE PRINT LETTER BUTTON. Instead, print your receipt and then close your browser. Once you close your browser, your letter will be printed in our office and will be mailed to the address on file. If you have any other questions, please get in touch with your ANCC representative.

Companies/State Boards of Nursing
Ordering an official verification of certification provides primary source validation of certification. ANCC recommends against accepting wall certificate or wallet card photocopies as proof of certification, as these documents can be altered after leaving ANCC.
